Red Ribbon Week 2022 was filled with valuable information, loads of fun, and generosity beyond measure. Students learned about the importance of staying drug-free from Ms. Godwin and the Howard County Sheriff's Department. We had several activities that went along with our dress-up days. We ended the week with our monthly celebration where we recognized Kirklyn Davis, Ella Manasco, and Kadance Hamner as our October students of the month along with Ms. Cameron Glasgow's class for having the highest attendance rate for the first nine weeks. Ms .Charlotte Tipton's homeroom is currently in the lead for that honor this quarter. Nurse Lindsey gave an eye-opening hand washing demonstration using an ultraviolet light to highlight places we may miss. Friday evening we held our top fundraiser for the first time since 2019. Former winners Emma Sayre and Tyler Tedford returned to crown this year's top earners Queen Rubie Glasgow and King Lawson Stone. We are extremely grateful for everyone's help, attendance, and financial support which helped us raise over $14000 at the Costume Carnival. All proceeds support student needs including playground improvements.
Thank you to all the volunteers and businesses who supported this year's event.
